Being a resident or the family member of a care facility resident can be overwhelming.
- WHERE do you go for help?
- WHO will answer your questions?
- WHAT must the facility staff do?
- HOW do you proceed if something just doesn’t seem right?
We all have a vision of what we expect from a care facility.
In reality, facilities are never what we imagine. They may be wonderful one day and frustrating the next. Getting good care for you or a loved one is not luck. It takes knowledge, skill and compassion.
Ombudsmen are thoroughly trained and state certified to be safe, confidential and caring advocates, who listen to residents, resolve problems, and make a difference.
Our services are provided at no cost to residents of skilled nursing facilities and residential care facilities for the elderly.
